This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position (with the possibility of extension or permanency).

The Media, Engagement and Communication team supports children and young people’s participation in the work of the Commissioner by promoting the ways in which children and young people positively contribute to their communities. This role has a focus on digital and written communication activities for the Commissioner and provides communication support for projects and activities of the office. You will manage content across multiple social media channels, and work closely with colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver events, publications and other communications material.

Other Responsibilities

  • Supporting the production of reports and publications including reports, policy statements and research.

  • Supporting the development and implementation of communication strategies to support the Commissioner's projects and initiatives.

  • Preparing and/or editing written material including speeches, presentations, media releases, news articles and other content.

  • Helping to produce resources to support the Commissioner’s activities, including resources suitable for children and young people.
