Video reports sum up Advisory Committees’ contributions

I recently met my 2016 student advisory committees for the final time to thank them for their invaluable contributions over the last 12 months.

Over the year both Committees have provided me with important advice regarding my office’s School and Learning Consultation.

Their input included providing their views on what supports their participation in education and the barriers some students face, providing feedback on a survey that was completed by more than 1,800 WA students, and undertaking a creative project that provided an opportunity for some of their fellow students to have a say.

At our final meeting, both schools presented me with their art project that contained thought-provoking insights about what helps young people to engage in education – you can see some of these on the gallery below.

The highlight of the final meeting was watching a video in which Committee members speak about their role and accomplishments over the year.

You can watch the videos and read more about the Advisory Committees on these links:

Thank you again to the members of both Committees and their schools; it has been a pleasure working with you all.
