What CALD children and young people are saying

The Commissioner consulted with nearly 300 children and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds about their lives, what helps them to build a good life in Australia and what challenges they face.

In 2016, the Youth Affairs Council Western Australia (YACWA) supported a group of CALD young people aged between 18 and 25 years to lead and report on consultations with their peers. This group of consultation peer leaders ran activities with young people up to the age of 18 years in their local community.
