There are almost 610,000 children and young people in WA, and this page is for all of you.

You can read about your rights, look at what other kids had to say in our consultations from around Western Australia, or scroll down to see how you can get involved and make a positive impact in your own community.

Help and support

Talking really helps!

When you are feeling upset or worried, talking can help you to work through problems or to get some help.

Talk to someone you trust - a parent, teacher, friend, family member or coach.

Online support

There are many websites and apps where you can find helpful information and tips. Take a look at our list of mental health online resources for young people.

Or if you want someone else to talk to, you can contact the following help services at any time, for free.

Speaking Out Survey

Here is an update on the key findings of the Commissioner’s 2021 Speaking Out Survey of more than 16,500 WA students.
