About this survey
The Commissioner for Children and Young People Western Australia is an independent statutory officer whose role is to advocate for all Western Australian children and young people aged 0 to 17 years.
This survey asks about your experience of working with the office over the past 3 years, what works well and where communication and engagement could improve. It also asks how you would prefer to receive information and provide input in future.
This survey is about your experience of working with the office. It is not about the Commissioner or any other individual.
The survey is administered by 361 Degrees Strategic Engagement & Communications on behalf of the office. 361 Degrees will collect and analyse the responses and report the findings to the office. Read the 361 Degrees Privacy Policy.
Who it is for
Staff of stakeholder organisations aged 18 years and older who have professional experience of working with the office in the past 3 years.
Please answer for yourself, based on your own professional experience. More than one person from your organisation is welcome to take part. If your experience covers a shorter period, draw on that time.
What taking part involves
About 5 minutes on a phone, tablet, or computer. Most questions ask you to select a rating and one invites you to answer in your own words. Taking part is voluntary. You can skip any question and stop at any time before submitting your response.
By starting the survey, you agree to take part. Select Submit at the bottom of the question page to send your answers. If you change your mind, close the survey before selecting Submit.
You may have help to access or understand the survey, but the answers should be your own.
How your privacy is protected
The survey is designed to be anonymous and does not ask for your name or email address. Please do not include names, other identifying details, or sensitive case information in written answers.
Responses will be reported in grouped form. Once an anonymous response is submitted, it cannot be located for withdrawal.
How your responses are used
Responses are combined and reported as figures and themes. Small groups and written comments will be checked to reduce identification risk. Comments may be quoted only where they cannot identify an individual or a single organisation.
The office will also receive de-identified individual survey responses. Identifying details will be removed from written comments before they are shared.
The findings will help inform the office's future stakeholder engagement. This is a voluntary survey rather than a representative sample, so it describes the views of the people who responded rather than of the sector as a whole. The office decides what to act on.
A plain-English summary will explain what was heard, how the office intends to use the findings, and the next steps known at the time. The summary will be available on the Stakeholder Priorities Surveys 2026 page.
Where your responses are held
The survey runs on SurveyMonkey, which stores responses on servers in the United States. Because nothing identifying is collected, no information that leaves Australia can be linked to you. Responses are transferred to the office when the surveys close, and the 361 Degrees copy is deleted within 30 days of the final report.
