Commissioner's Update - December 2019

2019 has been a busy year and a great opportunity for me to hear from thousands of children and young people.

Earlier this year I released my report, Improving the odds for WA’s vulnerable children and young people with five key recommendations to government on addressing vulnerability in WA. We also launched a comprehensive online resource, Indicators of Wellbeing, to help monitor and report on the wellbeing of WA children and young people. My staff and I also spent six months surveying children and young people across WA in my first ever Speaking Out Survey, the findings from this survey will be released in early 2020.
