Commissioner's Update - February 2018

Did you know one in 10 primary school students and one in five WA high school students don’t always feel safe in school because they are concerned about being hurt or bullied?

This data comes from two key education reports I tabled in State Parliament at the end of January. These reports are the culmination of a major education consultation project undertaken by my office with more than 1,800 students from 98 schools across the state, which identify and analyse the factors that help children and young people positively participate in education and learning and the barriers they experience.
