Commissioner's Update - May 2021

The Speaking Out Survey is now in full swing across the State and I’m pleased with the powerful insights children and young people are sharing about their wellbeing.

Data from the survey will be available later this year to assist government and non-government organisations to help meet the needs of WA children and young people. I will be tabling a summary report in State Parliament and sharing the data on my website.

The recent WA Youth Awards once again highlighted some of the great initiatives WA young people are involved in. I congratulate Fatima Merchant who was the recipient of my Participate Award.
