Commissioner's Update: Special edition (Consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people)

Upon undertaking the role of acting Commissioner in December 2013, a particular priority for me was to hear from Aboriginal children and young people about what was important to them – about how they see their lives, what they need for their wellbeing and their hopes for the future.

Over the past 12 months it has been incredibly insightful to hear the views and personal stories from so many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people. More than 1,200 children and young people took part, our largest ever consultation.
