New facility to provide community-based mental health services
Working together to provide support and services for people with mental illness in a community setting was the overall vision communicated yesterday when I attended the opening of Richmond Wellbeing’s new premises in Cannington.
Premier Colin Barnett opened the new integrated facility that will improve mental health services in the area and provide accommodation and support services that focus on allowing people to regain control of their lives.
Good mental health for children and young people remains a priority area of work for my office.
Given the importance of mental health, and the role families play in shaping the way a child or young person develops throughout their lives, I am pleased to see improvements being made within the mental health sector and community-based services.
