Commissioner's Special Update - April 2020
Over the past month I have been hearing the voices of children and young people during these uncertain times. Through email, photos and through my DigiMe online tool, I have heard about how the significant changes of the past few weeks has impacted their daily lives, their concerns and what has helped them to stay positive.
The impacts have been varied, whether from the normalcy of their routine or missing their friends and favourite activities and understandably, feeling worried. I have been impressed by the resilience many children and young people are showing during this upheaval, and their comments are worth considering as we continue to respond and adapt to all of the changes COVID-19 has meant for us as a community.
