Commissioner's Update - October 2021

Children’s Week is here! I hope you will join me in celebrating all the children and young people in Western Australia. This year’s theme is on children and young people having the right to choose their own friends.

To coincide with Children’s Week, I have released My Place in WA, a publication investigating the impacts of home, school, local community and services, on the wellbeing of children and young people. All week photographs of WA children and young people are being projected on the Perth Digital Tower in Yagan Square. In addition I have recently released Missing Out Matters: Child poverty in WA.
