Preparing for a new year of advocacy
This morning I had the pleasure of attending WACOSS’ New Year Sector Breakfast at Mount Eliza House in Kings Park.
The inaugural breakfast brings together people and agencies from across Western Australia committed to social services to celebrate their achievements from the previous year and look forward to their goals for the next.
Western Australia enjoys a diverse and expansive range of social service organisations, many of which provide important support for children and young people.
Whether they are offering opportunities for social inclusion or community activities, or a safety net for children facing disadvantage or marginalisation, they are an important resource for our society at large.
The breakfast was a great opportunity to network with people also committed to children and young people’s welfare.
I would like to thank WACOSS for my invitation and congratulate them on a fantastic event.
